Fall 2004

This is a collection of poems written toward the end of 2004. This year was marked by the re-election of President George W. Bush under questionable circumstances that pointed clearly to election fraud. It was also marked by the continuation of the illegal and immoral war in Iraq and the accelerated deterioration of the global environment. All in all, it was not a happy time. These poems present a wide spectrum of personal reactions to this situation as well as a few poems to stubbornly celebrate a sense of joy in life in spite of it all.
